Daylighting

Daylighting is simply using the sun’s light to brighten a room. By using skylights, natural light is allowed in minimizing the need for artificial lighting. This not only saves energy, but has been proven to enhance mood.

A thorough understanding of the sun’s position in the sky is important to being able to control where and when light enters the structure, especially for thermal purposes, but for most ambient daylighting purposes installing skylights is easy and rewarding.
